What’s been happening…?

So as all my Instagram followers know, my account got hacked last week, it was the dumbest thing I’ve done in a long time haha! I clicked on a link while half asleep, and directed me to the instagram page to log in my details. Next thing I know my information was all changed and the hacker started posting random pictures and videos. Several people also got hacked from my instagram account, so I apologize for that!

What’s been happening..

January 2016 

I switched my training from Brute Strength to Training Plan for several reasons. Brute Strength just wasn’t for me, I needed a lot more work than they were offering me. I tested Training plan for a whole month (4 weeks, 5 days a week) once a day. What I enjoy with TTP is their barbell cycling, almost every day is a different weightlifting movement, snatch balances, cleans, 3 position snatches etc.. Some things that I need to work on constantly and I found great results within the first 2 weeks of it. Also, their interval conditioning workouts are the best! The suck and I enjoy them so much!

Here is what I am doing today:

A. With a running clock, each part for time:

@ 0 minutes:
A1. For time
21 thrusters @ 60/40kg (135/95lbs)
21 chest to bar pull ups
15 (squat) cleans @ 60/40kg (135/95lbs)
15 burpees over the bar
Time cap. 5 minutes

@ 10 minutes:
A2. For time
15 thrusters @ 60/40kg (135/95lbs)
15 chest to bar pull ups
12 (squat) cleans @ 60/40kg (135/95lbs)
12 burpees over the bar
Time cap. 4 minutes

@ 18 minutes:
A3. For time
12 thrusters @ 60/40kg (135/95lbs)
12 chest to bar pull ups
9 (squat) cleans @ 60/40kg (135/95lbs)
9 burpees over the bar
Time cap. 3 minutes

@ 24 minutes:
A4. For time
9 thrusters @ 60/40kg (135/95lbs)
9 chest to bar pull ups
6 (squat) cleans @ 60/40kg (135/95lbs)
6 burpees over the bar
Time cap. 2 minutes

@ 28 minutes:
A5. For time
6 thrusters @ 60/40kg (135/95lbs)
6 chest to bar pull ups
3 (squat) cleans @ 60/40kg (135/95lbs)
3 burpees over the bar
Time cap. 1 minute

I also thoroughly enjoyed their gymnastic workouts, all strict movements and EMOMs however, I will be adding more next week to prepare myself for the Open.

RedBull

Last year hinted to all of you through my instagram photos of holding RedBull cans.. And finally I am very happy and proud to announce that I am soon to be an official RedBull athlete!

Nourishing Dubai 

Most of you know that I was following Nourishing Dubai for a whole month and before that I was following my nutritionist’s plan.. And since Battle of the East (October 31st weighing 68kg) to January 31st I am very happy that I feel much lighter at 62kg. My numbers aren’t what they used to be, still struggling with heavy snatches and clean and jerks but I am happy my squats haven’t gone down. But my gymnastics is getting so much better. I guess you win some you lose some! Time for the REgains!

Pechakucha Night in Sharjah

Mprove Fitness and CryoHealth in Abu Dhabi

Mprove Fitness is a new gym that has been set up for body building, yoga, crossfit, weightlifting and other sports. The owner Mohammed Al Tamimi brilliantly organized for Emirati athletes/coaches to coach classes to encourage and support Emirati Coaches. I was one of the lucky ones to coach two ladies classes.

CryoHealth is finally operating in Abu Dhabi, there are separate rooms and changing rooms for men and women so I encourage more ladies to try out the freeze machine that will help you speed up your recovery! Please remember to wear long socks and gloves!

February 2016 

What I am looking forward to in February, I will be taking part in “The Grind” throwdown in Altitude, Sharjah 20th of February (God willing, Insha’Allah) as well as The Night Neon Run February 26th but mostly I am very excited to see my Femina Middle East feature, they interviewed me when I was on holiday in London and had a photoshoot as I was training at Crossfit Goldbox. I will announce when it is finally out!

In the next few months I will be making more announcements through instagram and my blog. I would like to know all of your feedback on starting my own Periscope and giving my followers one hour once a week to ask me questions..
